Art of Crochet is a collection of crochet couture patterns that will knock your socks right off
(and give you the chance to stitch them back on again).

Sexy patterns with instructions for sizes 0-26 and full-color photography set in fabulous downtown Chicago, this book is visually lush and fashion forward. Detailed instructions remove all guesswork and contrasting examples encourage the designer in you.

This website was designed to spoil you, and change how patterns are published.
  • The Pattern Generator takes your measurements and turns them into patterns tailored exactly to you -- with no extra numbers to circle or row counts to fiddle with.

  • Video Stitch Guides for every single stitch used in the patterns.

  • Photo Gallery with hundreds of extra photos, so you can see the exact fit and drape (as well as outtakes and bloopers to tickle your funny bone).

These are new kinds of skirts. As a male, they throw you. I like this one, like the other one even more. Booty-grabular. Except I almost changed my mind. Then I changed it back. This is new work.

I think giving up mainstream dreams for a child that may not be "normal" is hard, but the opportunity to have an unplanned, unpaved life is amazing.

I don't believe in disabilities as a concept. I don't think a mainstream life is spectacular, it is just ordinary. Ordinary is not better.

I see you continually launching accusations and condemnations at others, including complete strangers, and yet you don't have it together yourself. Might I suggest that you will fare better if you leave others to their own lives, and stick with crocheting? Methinks you are out of your depth, lacking insight and compassion, commenting as you do upon the lives of others. Be for real. A former prostitute whom child protection won't allow to see her own daughter, who made a marriage of messing around with her boyfriend's little jailbait brother?
Who are you to cast scorn upon ANYONE? You should probably be in JAIL.
And if you would go to work at a job instead of masquerading your hobby as a business, you wouldn't have to take money from the people of whom you seem to think so little.
Your Inlaws are wonderful people who did nothing to deserve your spite, and if you cannot respect your elders at least respect your betters.
You are disgusting. Just another druggie whore posing as a real person. Be quiet. Deal with your own life. Get your shit together. When you point one finger at another, three point back at you.

Most Sincerely,
Bryan a.k.a. Pinhead

Well, now it makes sense why you need to prey on confused gullible young women. Anyone with an iota of confidence or maturity can see you are a big bad blowhard with a great big chip on his shoulder.

I mean, really, that entry was from weeks ago, and you're still stewing about it. Yeah, umm, you're the type that blows up federal buildings eventually, or goes on a multi-state raping and killing spree.

Here's the heads up, psycho boy -- leave me alone. I've commented to Sue, I've called her mother and I'm contacting you by leaving a message here as I have no other way to reach you. I will notify authorities and take all necessary measures for legal protection from you should you contact or attempt contact with me in any way. You need to really get a reality check if you think contacting the police will be good for your case, considering anything I've written IN MY OWN JOURNAL comes out of concern for a young married woman with a history of psychiatric problems who ran off with a much older man she met on the internet. I think they'll understand where I was coming. I think it would be beyond foolish of you to test that theory and I will contact authorities immediately if I feel threatened or harrassed by you in any way.

Fuck you. I went to a "fruitsy suburban school" and have to agree with all the pwning of you over at ljdrama.org. I normally wouldn't take the trouble to comment in a person's journal, but what you wrote over there showed sheer arrogance for how the rest of the world works. I don't know if you've only been in Chicago your entire life, but in other parts of the country getting teased a little doesn't equal "OMG COLUMBINE!!" Every one gets teased at some point. It's better to have a caring, trained faculty who can relate one on one in such situations than a zero-tolerance policy. Throwing someone out of school for calling a kid fat is much more likely to cause disgruntled outlashing. I hope to God you never become an administrator in a public school system.

I actually like the question and answer aspect of the crochet community and a vanity community just for posting project pics doesn't really appeal to me. That's just me, though, and I'll bet others would like your idea.

Wow, I think I am in love. Your crochet work is amazing and simply inspiring. I somehow wandered onto your lj and then into your site, and all I can say is...wow...and then drool a whole bunch. I have been wanting to crochet a skirt for some time now but never really had a good model to look at and now I think I must try. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of yarn is this made from? Is the top part tight enough to where you don't have to wear anything under it or is it slightly see though? How does the material do after a wearing, does it stretch badly?

I am just in awe, I love your work. If you don't mind I am going to add you to my friends list (no need to add me back as I tend to just post a bunch of bs on my journal, I just want to keep updated on your work). Again, wow, thank you for sharing these things with us!

The skirt in the photograph is made from a hand-dyed cotton yarn. However, I am going to be making that pattern available for sale and I would recommend a DK to Light Worsted weight yarn, in a mercerized cotton or rayon (something with a little bit of weight).

Depending on the yarn, it is a little tiny bit see-through. If you switched to a yarn with a little bit of fuzz for the top part, this would be eliminated.

Wear and tear will depend on the quality of yarn. The skirt in the photo is my own and I've machine-washed and -dryed it over 30 times now and it still looks great. A good quality cotton or rayon should hold up over time.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I think you are amazingly talented in crochet and I am just in awe of your designs -- they are so pretty and definately items I would wear. I came across your journal through the crochet community and then peeked in at your website. I'm so glad you have some patterns for sale -- I can definately say I will be purchasing some in the future, especially this skirt pattern, when you get it up there. Thanks for sharing these! I've added you to my friends list so that I can keep looking. :-)

wow, thank you.

I'm almost ready to publish the pattern for that skirt. I made a new version that is a little bit different and I need to get good photos of it, and then it'll be ready to post up.
